The Karachi Port handled 122,330 tonnes of cargo including 90,043 tonnes import and 32,287 tonnes export cargo including 4,929 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday.

The cargo comprised of 63,784 tonnes dry cargo including 48,070 tonnes general cargo; 5,360 tonnes sugar; 7,418 tonnes fertiliser; 700 tonnes coal; 2,236 tonnes rice and 58,546 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.

Six ships namely Iran Baluchistan, Yang Jiang He, Ever Gather, Bunga Kenari, Golden Falcon and Pacific Sun-II sailed out to sea during the report period.

Five vessels viz Challenge Express, Ever Gather, Maersk Arizona, Multan and Apl Cairo are currently at the berths.

Six ships namely MT Shalamar, Hun Jian, Fion 7, Pacific Acadian, Maersk Arizona and Apl Cairo expected to sail on Wednesday, while two vessels viz Hyundai Highway and Jade Trader are expected to sail on Thursday.

Two vessels viz Apl Cairo and Lalazar due to arrive on Wednesday, while five ships namely Adhidaya, Canmar Success, YM Faha, Golden Express and Aonoble are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 39,401 tonnes comprising 18,389 tonnes import and 21,012 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,344 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Wednesday.

The cargo comprised of 7,730 tonnes edible oil; 4,809 tonnes wheat; 3,348 tonnes sugar; 666 tonnes jute and 22,848 tonnes containerised cargo.

Four ships namely CV Oocl Authority, Sealand Voyger, MT Bow Pride and Anna-A sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two vessels viz MT Akademic Semenov and CV Asian Trader are expected to sail on Wednesday afternoon.

A total of five vessels viz Asian Trader, Captain P. Egglezos, Al Maqwa and Tian Da are currently at the outer anchorage.

Three ships namely CV Cma Cgm Kingston, Asian Trader and Captain P. Egglezos due to take berths on Wednesday. Chemicals carrier MT Yanaseni is due to arrive on Wednesday.
